Hello all! Today, i will be doing a review on VOV pure black charcoal pack! I had pictures of the product but i accidentally deleted the pics off my pc soo.. -.-
It is the one in green! and counting down, i just have a few more products to review! :D
anyways, i purchased this item from sasa.com and unfortunately, it is out of stock lol.
Here is the info as quoted from sasa.com
"description VOV Daily Fresh Mini Pack (Pure Black Charcoal Pack) is a peel-off type pack that controls sebum, gently exfoliates and clears away waste materials. It leaves skin clear and fair. how to use it
This product was LOADS better than the VOV apple mask i reviewed a while back.
A word of caution though...it was VERY sticky and gooey.
Okay, well upon opening the bag, i made sure to rub the package a bit just in case the mask hardened over sitting in my shelf for a long period of time. I felt lumps when i was rubbing the package lol.
Honestly, the package had enough to cover my whole face, but i wasnt really sure if i should have applied the mask thickly or thinly on my face lol -.- turns out i ended up putting way too much on my cheeks and they took AGES to dry lol -.-
I think the best way to know if you put enough of the mask on areas of your face is that if you cant really see your skin anymore but its not so thick that when you touch it, you can smear off a lot of the mask. Kind of hard to describe, i think you have to personally test it out a few times to know the correct amounts.
Smell: the smell of the charcoal was quite pleasant. It didn't smell bad, so i thought it was okay.
BEWARE BELOW. PICS OF MY INEXPERIENCED MASK APPLICATION...lol
Well, as you can see, the distribution of my mask is really uneven lol. I mainly just wanted it on my cheeks and nose area though so i ended up not having enough for my forehead.
another word of caution again : THIS MASK IS REALLY REALLY STICKY. its best to keep your hair out of the way or else it'll stick really badly to your mask later on lol.
Okay so i think it takes around 15-30 minutes for the mask to dry, depending on how thick or thin the mask was applied on areas of your face. I sped up the process by sitting in front of a fan.
it took me around 10-15 minutes? but in the end my cheeks never dried and i made a mess lol -.-
Here are the skins. i really wanted to show what it pulled out, but it was really hard to see. It pulled out a lot of peach fuzz on my face as well as some dead skin. Not bad :D
Removing the mask was pretty simple as well. the mask peels off easily once it is dry. it isn't painful either.
if you have some charcoal on your face remaining later on because it didn't dry completely when you removed it or whatsoever, try to take it off with a toner. if you use water, that's fine, but it'll take longer and it'll smear lol.
I have always been a fan of peels, but i think they take up way too much time :/ They were fun though but i dont think i will buy it again lol.
